Custom web and mobile application development

Singapore studio for web and mobile apps

Null Lines Pte Ltd builds custom web applications and mobile apps for teams here and across the region — the front end, the back end, the integrations between them, and the release path that puts the work in people's hands.

Tell us the problem first, not the feature list.

What we actually build

Most projects fall into four shapes. We write the front end, the back end, and the integration layer between them, so the connection to your existing systems is part of the build rather than something bolted on at launch.

Customer portals and web apps

A booking flow, an account area, a quoting tool, or a customer-facing product that has to hold up under real traffic. Built to read and write in the systems you already run.

portal first, then the extras

Native and cross-platform mobile

iOS in Swift when the product leans on Apple platform behaviour; Flutter when one codebase should carry both stores. We recommend after looking at your users, not before.

Internal dashboards

The spreadsheets and email threads that quietly run a department, rebuilt as one system with proper access control and a reporting view that stops eating days.

SaaS platforms

Multi-account products that need clean data models and predictable APIs before the customer count makes those decisions for you.

API integration

CRM, ERP, payments, logistics. Third-party APIs have their own limits and data shapes; that work is scoped, not discovered later.

A Singapore retailer tracking stock across outlets and an enterprise group moving approval workflows off email look different on screen. Both need the same discipline: clean data models, predictable APIs, and a release path you can repeat.

Native, cross-platform, or web first

The first technical decision on a mobile project is usually the stack, and it has real consequences for budget, timeline, and how close the app sits to the platform. Here is how the three routes differ in practice.

  • Native iOS in Swift tightest fit with Apple platform features
  • Native Android device behaviour and performance control
  • Flutter cross-platform build one codebase, iOS and Android together
  • Progressive web app browser audience, no store install step
  • We walk the trade-offs with you before anyone writes code your timeline, your team

Integrations are where a project succeeds or stalls

A web app is rarely an island. It pulls from an existing CRM, pushes invoices into an accounting system, checks a payment gateway, or syncs a field team's reports back to a central database. Third-party APIs arrive with their own rate limits, authentication rules, and data shapes that don't match yours.

So we map the systems you already run before scoping. That applies whether you are a startup wiring a first payment flow or an enterprise team adding a mobile front end to a platform that has been running for years.

What gets mapped

Which system owns each record, how often it syncs, what happens when the third party is unavailable, and who is allowed to see the result.

Who we work with

Our clients range from a two-person founding team in a co-working space to established Singapore businesses with their own IT departments. The constraints differ, so the scoping does too.

How project scoping differs for startups, SMEs, and larger organisations
Client shape What usually drives the build What we scope first
Startups A partner who moves from concept to a usable first release and stays through early feedback. The smallest release that proves the idea, and the data model behind it.
SMEs One specific bottleneck: a booking process living in email, a report that takes days, a portal that doesn't exist yet. Replacing the manual step without disturbing the rest of the workflow.
Larger organisations More stakeholders, more constraints, and systems that cannot be replaced mid-project. Documentation, access control, and integration into the platforms already in place.

Working from Singapore, building for here

Singapore's business environment has its own expectations around data handling, vendor relationships, and how quickly a decision moves from meeting to budget. We can sit in the same room as your team when that helps, and we understand the platform context local businesses operate in.

The studio also works with clients elsewhere in the region, so a build that starts here can serve users across Southeast Asia. The delivery process stays the same either way: short feedback loops, working software you can see, and no long silences.

You get to look at the build, not a status email.

How a project starts

It starts with a conversation about the problem, not a feature list. From there you get a scope you can react to before committing to a long engagement.

  1. What the system needs to do We ask what the system must do, who uses it, what already exists, and what done looks like for this phase.
  2. A scope you can react to What's in the first release, what waits, and what the technical approach looks like on paper.
  3. A clear view before you commit You see the shape of the work before signing up to a long engagement. If a project isn't a good fit for us, we say so early.
  4. Support after launch We take a requirement, build it properly, and stay on it once it is in people's hands.

What we don't do

We're a development studio, not a full-service advertising agency. We don't run your media buying, manage your social accounts, or sell you a template site and call it custom work. If you need brand identity from scratch, we'll work alongside a designer rather than pretend that's our specialism.

What we do is take a product or system requirement and build it properly, then support it after launch. That focus is deliberate.

Questions we get asked first

Do you build both web and mobile apps, or just one?

Both. We build custom web applications, native and cross-platform mobile apps, and the back-end services and integrations that connect them. Many projects include more than one of these, such as a mobile app paired with an internal dashboard.

We're a Singapore SME with no technical team. Can you still help?

Yes. We scope the work in plain terms, explain the technical decisions that affect your budget and timeline, and handle the build end to end. You don't need an in-house developer to work with us, though we're happy to coordinate with one if you have one.

How do you decide between native and cross-platform?

It depends on your users, your timeline, and how much platform-specific behaviour the app needs. A native iOS build in Swift suits products that lean on Apple features. Flutter can cover iOS and Android from one codebase when the shared logic dominates. We'll recommend a direction after looking at your requirements, not before.

What does an enquiry involve?

You send a short description of the project through the contact form or by email. We reply to arrange a conversation about scope, constraints, and next steps. There's no obligation and no sales script.
